About Esther: We pulled little old Esther out of the Lancaster Shelter after they had taken her and about 20 others from the Lancaster Puppy Mill. No one adopted little Esther (although we were told she had holds on her by the shelter), so she sat there until we demanded that we take her. Why go from a puppy mill to a shelter to sit. Now Esther is running around the house, sleeping on warm dog beds wherever she wants and is not confined to a cage or crate. She has a Grade 3 heart murmur and will be visiting the vet for heart meds and blood panel and general check up. But she seems to be adjusting just fine.
